Many games are set in places you can actually visit. Pixel Pilgrimage maps them, so you can stand where your favourite games happen.

How the map works

Every pin is a place that exists in a game and in the real world. Some are still easy to recognise, some have been heavily reimagined, and some are fictional places clearly inspired by a real one. Each place page says which.

Who makes it

Pixel Pilgrimage is made by Hakan, a gamer and streamer who would rather walk through Boston than just fast-travel across it.

Unofficial fan project

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any game publisher or developer. Game names, characters and in-game screenshots belong to their respective publishers and are used here to identify and discuss the games. Real-world photos come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under their free licences; if one of them is yours and the credit is wrong, write to us and we will fix it.
