In the game

A run-down eastern district where Big Smoke's Crack Palace, scene of the final mission 'End of the Line', stands.

The real place

East Los Angeles is an unincorporated, largely Mexican-American community east of downtown, known for Whittier Boulevard and its murals. The game takes its name and character, with some influence from Florence-Graham.

Visiting

Whittier Boulevard and the murals around it are the best introduction. The Metro E Line stops at East LA Civic Center.
