In the game

The older casino quarter, with a neon cowboy modelled on Vegas Vic at one end and a hotel suite CJ can buy.

The real place

Fremont Street is downtown Las Vegas's original casino street, nicknamed Glitter Gulch, and has been covered by a light-show canopy since 1995. The game's unnamed casinos copy Binion's Horseshoe, the Golden Nugget, the Fremont and the Four Queens.

Visiting

The canopy light shows run every evening and are free. The Vegas Vic neon cowboy still stands over the street.
